Thumbs down The show: COPS
Does anyone wacth the show cops? I don't i think its humiliating for those people who get arrested on national television. Why do they do this anyway??

Because they know that people are voyeurs at heart. I stopped watching that show years and years ago. I can go to the gas station and see the very same people there that they show on COPS.

I watched it a couple times-it's really nothing special. They just follow a cop around, he goes to arrest a guy who has been driving drunk, the guy flees, they beat the shit out of him, etc.

Actually, the person being chased/arrested authorizes the show to show (or not show) their face. They must be proud of themselves if they let it be shown.

I know who wants the world to know that you are a criminal? Are there any advantages to people knowing that you have commited a crime? That leads me to believe people who commit crimes are usually idiots but there are those smart few who can't be proven quote unqote guilty.

They do it to teach the criminals a lesson, that they shouldn't act like dumbasses or they're going to be on TV.

I <3 COPS, it lets me see scumbags get what they deserve. People who beat their wives get arrested, jackasses who speed and put the lives of everyone else in danger get put away.. It's funny too - love the drug addicts trying to talk out of it.

One of the weirdest episodes I have ever seen was when 2 girls were running around the neighborhood nude, and the cops had to get em'.

It's interesting on how the cop tries to calm the women down. Sheesh.

In the UK we have programs like Road Wars and Booze Britain, SO funny.
There is nothing funnier that watching drunk people talk, cos you know what it's like to be in that situation. To actually truely believe you sound rational and sane..
